Brolly offers a powerful range of options for finding specific records. You're also able to filter your feed to see only records that share particular characteristics. For example you can see just the records from one or more accounts, or for a date range, or by whether they've been deleted, hidden, edited.

This guide helps you unlock all the power of Brolly search.

Search within records

Perform a simple search using the search field. In this field you can perform a simple search, for example search for a hashtag, or a keyword, or a person's name.

Brolly also allows you to do an advanced search. Click Advanced search and a detailed search box pops up. Here you can search for phrases, combinations, hashtags and usernames. If you're looking for a particular post or comment and can only remember one or two things about it, this is a great way to find it.

Filter records

If you want to see only posts from one account, or only comments, or only posts, or ... any number of filter options, use the row of buttons at the top of the page.

Filter by account

If you've connected more than one account, for example a Facebook page and a Twitter account, you can choose to view just one of them - or a combination. In this example, we have connected Facebook and Twitter accounts, and we want to see Twitter only.

Click Accounts, tick the relevant checkbox/s and click Apply. Your feed is filtered as you requested.

Filter by type of record

Your Feed is a collation of a number of different types of records, including posts and comments. You can choose to see just one or a combination of types of record.

Click Types, tick the relevant checkbox/s and click Apply. Your Feed is filtered as you requested.

Filter by action taken

Your unfiltered feed shows all records, including those that have been created, deleted or hidden.

Filter by media

The Media filter allows you to filter by the type of content used to create a post.

Click Media, tick the checkbox for the media type/s you want to see then click Apply. Your Feed is filtered as you requested.

Public activity

By default, when you view your feed,Public activityis toggled off. This means your feed shows records created, edited and deleted by your organisation.  The Public activity toggle allows you to see and hide records that have been created by others, for example records created in Facebook groups.

Tags

You can also use tags to refine the feed. Read more about using tags in Brolly.
